![]() The previous release was 2.0.1 and such a big jump is justified by the scale of the changes. True to its name, the project is an unofficial remaster of the iconic Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II from 1997. ![]() If you do not wish to use that mod I suggest with what ever version is crashing you must use the highest default resolution you are able to use in the video settings. A new version of the excellent mod Jedi Knight Remastered has been released. exe that will not get you hours playing jka since it needs to be set as a nonsteam game in your library to run with steam overlay. Another thing with "OpenJK" is it requires a seperate. Hi to get 1080p its really easy all it takes is to edit the config file in the \\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Jedi Academy\\GameData\\base folder 1: Run single player and Multiplayer at least once to set up the config files 2: Open jaconfig.cfg with notepad 3: Look for the line seta rmode and change it so it reads as seta rmode'-1' 4: now look for seta rcustomwidth and change it so it reads as. Though if you intend to use moviebattles or EOC mods it is probably incompatible. It will be unable to work for you with the base game however some people in the community created a mod that fixes a lot of bugs and also allows alt tabbing titled "OpenJK" which also enables better support for modern resolutions. If this happens you must undo this for the mpconfig. However on some computers running at a custom resolution causes the multiplayer to crash. Make sure you get the width and the height correct. Use control + F to find these strings by typing in a bit of the first letters and then change the values between " and " to your native resolution. Now you should see two “.exe” files one titled "jk2sp.exe" and "jk2mp.exe" (for JK2) or "jasp.exe" and "jamp.exe" (for JKA) Once you find them there should be a folder titled "Base" in gamedata open that up and find files titled "jaconfig.cfg" for sp and "jampconfig.cfg" for MP open them up both one at a time with wordpad. Change seta rmode to -1 and to get proper widescreen field of view. Find (Ctrl + F on WordPad) seta rcustomwidth and change both it and seta rcustomheight to your desired resolution's respective width and height. Navigate to base folder but first to get to your “gamedata” folder in JK2 and JKA you must go to your steam library, right click Jedi outcast or Jedi academy, then click properties (located in the context menu), now click the tab titled “Local Files” and then click the box titled "browse local files." If you followed these steps correctly you should see a folder pop up titled "Jedi Outcast" or "Jedi Academy" inside that folder there should be another folder titled "Gamedata" open that by selecting the folder and double clicking or select the folder and press enter key. To set a custom resolution go to \SteamApps\common\Jedi Outcast\GameData\base and open jk2config.cfg (WordPad will work just fine). By going into display settings in windows 10 or right clicking desktop and selecting "Screen Resolution" in the drop down box next to "Resolution" what ever has the words "Recommended" next to it is your native resolution. Use wordpad to set the values to your monitors native resolution. Its best if you edit the resolution in the jaconfig and mpconfig that is in base.
